On a walk, we discover the treasures of living orchards. As an important part of our cultural landscape, they characterize the fertility of the northern Black Forest region. We experience a variety of fruits from meadow orchards, which are a valuable resource and have been cultivated for generations in some cases; in addition to humans, numerous other creatures benefit from meadow orchards with all their fruits: Birds find food here to start their journey to their winter quarters strengthened, hedgehogs find a place to sleep and amphibians a sheltered spot; mysterious medicinal plants form seeds, mushrooms produce fruiting bodies. Participation is free of charge. The tour is suitable for families and lasts approx. 90 minutes.

The event “Lusting for Natural Diversity” is organised on the occasion of the Lust Programme of ORNAMENTA 2024, corresponding to the theme ‘Zum Eros’. All Ornamenta Lust programmes are mainly German spoken but you are welcome to join.
