The Rußhütte Cultural Memorial has historically been a “witness stone to the extinct forest industry and a monument to the history of German chemistry”. In this historical memorial there will be a thematic workshop. Afterwards, the art symposium “Tusche Abstract” (Ink Abstraction) will be presented. The workshop is closely linked to the industrial history of Rußhütte, as pine soot is an essential raw material for the production of black ink. Registration is required.
“Gestern und Heute” is organized on the occasion of the Ornamenta 2024 Lust Programme, corresponding to the theme Schmutzige Ecke. All Ornamenta Lust programmes are mainly German spoken but you are welcome to join.
