Heinrich Zeller acquired the garden during the Biedermeier period. An era in which there was a strong focus on one's own home and garden, which was cultivated as a family retreat. The garden "was now seen as a place of longing for a happy life. Fences or walls enclosed one's own little garden of paradise on earth". (Katrin Kommerell, Herma Klar „Im Schatten der großen Silberpappel“)
We are now opening this little paradise garden for ORNAMENTA 2024 this season. The Zeller-Mörike Garden with its apothecary garden will now be temporarily supplemented with additional beds and aphrodisiac plants and become one of the central stations of ORNAMENTA 2024.
Three summer readings will take place on the second Sunday of the summer months of June, July and August in the Zeller-Mörike-Garten:
Sunday 9 June 2024, 15:00
Reading with Matthias Walter
Sunday 14 July 2024, 15:00

Sunday 11 August 2024, 15:00
