At the regional wildlife park in Pforzheim, Ornamenta explores various forms of kinship. The exhibition "Zum Eros: On Charisma, Carriages and Ceremonies" delves into how to deepen connections with friends, non-humans, ourselves, food, and even the natural world. Visitors of all ages, backgrounds and species, are invited to celebrate their affections in a newly made chapel dedicated to a broader concept of love. A new mode of ceremonial transportation challenges the regional automotive industry to rethink its offerings. Identity and attraction are explored through body-related objects. An alternative take on the romantic Black Forest Cake is presented. And lastly, visitors are informed about aphrodisiac gardening.
The exhibition includes designers Diane Hillebrand and Tatjana Stürmer for BINDER Gruppe, fashion designer Philipp Schüller for Digel, food designers Philipp Kohlmann and Suzanne Bernhardt for the Black Forest Cake bakeries, Pforzheim University BA Transportation Design alumnus Julius Schuster for the regional automotive industry, Pforzheim University BA Jewellery students with professor Christine Lüdeke in collaboration with students of Jewellery Design of Altinbas University Istanbul, gardeners of Q-Prints & Service with architect Céline Baumann.
