Once resilient European dialects, habits, and religions are transitioning and pleating for a more fragmented cultural landscape. What role could spirituality take in uniting different religious and non-religious individuals? Green valleys and sacred architecture make up much of the horizon of the German city of Pforzheim. In the Solartal, one of Ornamenta’s temporary neighbourhoods in the Northern Black Forest region, art, and design practices are in conversation with supernatural forces and the inexplicable. Symbols are emancipating and appropriated by everyday modern life. Together with erected architecture and holistic worshipping, they are writing a new spiritual narrative for the next generations.
